Jersey patterned
Jersey is a collective title for knitted and weft knitted fabrics. A distinction is made between single jersey and double jersey. Jersey is named after the English Channel Island. Jersey fabrics are not classically cross-woven, but knitted. . This results in a sturdy, high-quality fabric. Blended fibers are often used to make jersey. But also viscose, wool, cotton or silk in their pure form are used. You should also pre-wash these fabrics once before processing. There are also jersey fabrics with elastane content (e.g. 95% cotton, 5% elastane), so-called stretch jersey. These fabrics are not only stretchy, but also elastic, i.e. after being stretched, they return to their original shape. Therefore, it is ideal for tight-fitting clothes such as T-shirts, underwear, ladies tops or leggings.
